AdventHealth Gordon is seeking a dedicated Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing Hospital Medicine team in beautiful Calhoun, Georgia. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys inpatient medicine and thrives in a collaborative nighttime practice setting.
As a nocturnist APP, you will play a vital role in supporting our hospitalist program by managing overnight admissions, responding to acute patient care needs, and collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and specialists to ensure seamless, high-quality care throughout the night.
Highlights
- 14 shifts per month (7 on / 7 off)
- 8-hour shifts
- Primary responsibilities include:
- Inpatient admissions
- Cross-coverage and overnight patient management
- Evaluation and treatment of acute clinical concerns
- Coordination of care with attending physicians and consultants
- Documentation and communication to support smooth daytime handoffs
- Collaborative hospital medicine team with strong physician support
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- APRN or PA-C with active or eligible Georgia licensure (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred)
- Prior hospital medicine, critical care, or emergency medicine preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
